Easy Chocolate Almond Butter Recipe

This easy chocolate almond butter recipe is great for any home. Really quick and easy to whip up and all the goodness of almond in your chocolate spread.

Almond is a great source of vitamin E and a good amount of fibre. Many take them to help lower cholesterol levels because of it's good source of monosaturated fat.

Ingredients:
1 cup Raw Almond

15 gm Cocoa Powder

2 tbsp Olive Oil

20 gm Sugar

5 tbsp Water

A pinch of Salt (to taste)

Method:

  1. Blanch the almond and remove skin. You can keep the skin if you like it.
  2. Grind the almond in a food processor at high speed for 10 minutes or until it becomes smooth and creamy. It will change from dry crumbly to smooth creamy. Continous grinding will release the oil from the nuts.
  3. Melt sugar in water. Mix this with cocoa powder and olive oil into the almond. Blend until smooth.
  4. Add salt to taste.
  5. If you want chunky bits, toast some almond nips and mix it in before you store.
  6. Store in a jar.
