Almond Cookie Recipe: A Great Favourite Festive Cookie!
Ahh! The great almond cookie recipe! It's a sweet delight not to be missed during the festive. This Almond Cookie Recipe is another of my aunt's favourite festive cookie. She bakes it annually in great big batches for friends and families. Each year, the orders come in heaps and she's just happy to bake them, pack it into nice containers and send it off as gifts. It's a delight to receive one of her cookies.
I don't know why cookies are a great hit during festive. I find it a good conversation starter because when you are offered one, you can just talk about how you make it and share the recipes.
The best part is you can make it any shape you want. Just buy different cookie cutters and have fun with it.
Cream sugar and butter until light and fluffy. Add in egg yolk and mix well.
Mix dry ingredients together. Mix into creamed batter. Do not knead.
Roll out batter into half centimeter and cut out with cookie cutter.
Bake at 190C for 20 minutes.
Quick and Easy Tips: Don't ever knead the dough when you mix in the flour. The trick is to quickly mix the flour into the creamed butter until well mix. The more you knead, the harder the cookie will turn out after baking.
