Light Semolina Cake: Rich in Chocolate and Taste
This light semolina cake is great if you enjoy semolina but want to reduce down the egg yolks in it. Most of the recipes uses about 6-7 egg yolks. It's really rich and moist. This recipe uses the base of a butter cake with a much lighter texture - enjoy it without the guilt. If you still prefer the original rich recipe, go for it! Ingredients: 250 gm butter 240 gm castor sugar 180 gm semolina 140 gm self raising flour 40 gm cocoa powder 4 egg 1 tsp vanilla essence 3/4 cup milk Method: - Soak semolina in milk for 10 mins.
- Cream butter with sugar. Add eggs gradually.
- Mix all the dry ingredients together and fold into the creamed mixture.
- Bake for 40 minutes in pre-heated oven at 170ºC or until skewer comes out clean.
