Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe: The Quick and Easy Way to Steam a Cake

This Moist Chocolate Cake Recipe was shared by a dear friend. She's such a talented lady that loves to bake, sew and paint in her free time. She showed me how to make this cake in less than 20 minutes. I was amazed that it's one of the easiest recipe I've tried so far.

Extremely easy for those who are beginners. It's an excellent way to make a cake if you want to get a good cake out without an oven. Try this one!

Ingredients A:
210 gm flour
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp bicarbonate of soda
3 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla essence

Ingredients B:
1 cup vegetable oil
1 1/2 cup milk
120 gm cocoa powder
240 gm sugar

Method:

  1. Whisk eggs with an electric mixer until fluffy.
  2. Gently fold in sifted dry ingredients.
  3. Pour Ingredients B together into a pan and stir over low heat until well blended. Remove from heat and fold into egg mixture. Add vanilla essence.
  4. Pour mixture into a greased cake pan. Cover lightly with an aluminium foil to prevent water from dripping into the cake mixture. Steam for 25 minutes or until skewer comes out clean.
  5. Optional: Add more chocolate to the cake by pouring hot chocolate sauce over it just before you serve.
